I am not a moron. I am an oxymoron.
When I meet somebody, I’m not so interested in whether they’re a man or a woman—I’m interested in whether they have soul.

Once, Picasso was asked what his paintings meant. He said, “Do you ever know what the birds are singing? You don’t. But you listen to them anyway.” So, sometimes with art, it is important just to look.

I mean, that’s me. For every negative I was, you were my positive. Literally a better half.
It’s so hard loving someone so much, but also realizing that you just don’t think things can work out because life and human beings are complicated. Both a blessing and a curse of mine is that if I give you my heart once, no matter what happens between us, there’s a good chance that I will still continue to love you even outside of a romantic context.

I.

celery.

II.
I am learning how to be a grown-up
who pays bills, cooks her own meals,
and doesn’t cry at words like
I think I just want to be friends.

III.
The truth is this:
Love is an organic thing.
It rots and softens.

Mad respect to those who take a chance on love. It’s such a brave thing to do.
